2011 Trout Opener

Each year for the past 10 years, members of The Michigan Fly Fishing Club have met on Opening Day morning for some shared stories of remembered friends, some coffee cake and other treats and some famous Bloody Mary's. We meet in the board room located at Gates AuSable Inn on the banks for the beautiful AuSable River outside Graying. From 9am until about 11am we trade great stories of shared times with fishing buddies that are missed and maybe meet new fishing buddies for future shared memories. This year Opening Day is April 30, as late in the year as the last Saturday in April can be. The Hendricksons will be hatching, the black caddis will be flying around the rivers, and members of The Michigan Fly Fishing Club will celebrate another Opening Day with great friends and stories. Please join us that day. Remember, we must park at the Stephan Bridge access parking lot.
